The first source were the results of the AhnenforSCHUNCK by my father, Pierre Schunck. He did this in cooperation with Hermann Schunck from Eupen. The first page can be seen in the letter from Leo Franck. Thereafter, material has been constantly added through submissions from relatives. I would like to mention some of them by name:

I’ve only searched in archives for what’s online. Especially in Genlias and Rijckheyt, see next point.

A Handweavers Pattern Book. by Marguerite Porter Davison,
Publisher: Marguerite Porter Davison, Box 263, Swathmore, PA 19081, USA

A standard work for anyone, who is in search of patterns for 4 shaft weaving. This book is NOT a weaving course! The patterns mainly come from European immigrants in the USA, specially the Pennsylvania Dutch (whose origin is from Germany (=Deutschland), not dutch (=Nederlands)). Pierre J.A. Schunck wove a lot of these patterns.

Daar bevinden zich o.a. artikelen over

Ein Familienarchiv Schunck sammelt sich langsam im Stadtarchiv Heerlen.

World War 2, the German occupation of the Netherlands and the resistance in Valkenburg was an important part in the life of my parents. My father told many stories about it, but I was just a little boy. Now my parents are dead, but there are still some important written sources.
First of all, the stories the wrote. I scanned them and you can read here the original textes and their translations Nederlands Deutsch English Français
