Sef Boers was a blacksmith [1]
The brothers Harry and Sef Boers mainly took care of prisoners of war who had escaped from German camps. They were infiltrated twice by the SiPo, the second time with success. The brothers ended up in Kamp Vught, called Herzogenbusch concentration camp by the Germans [4][5].
On September 5, 1944 - Mad Tuesday [6.1] - they were executed at the execution site near the camp. As Allied troops approached, many boys and men were shot on September 5 and 6, 1944. Today, this is referred to as the Deppner executions. [6.2]
Thousands of other prisoners from Kamp Vught were hastily transported to Germany on these days. The Allies just found an empty camp there.
