Main Menu
Owner of the Hotel Franssen. The Limburgsch Dagblad of May 8, 1962 [1] wrote that he had something to do with the resistance (but what?). His hotel was confiscated by the German army. After the liberation, the hotel was initially for a month or two emergency hospital for the evacuated population of Kerkrade [2] and then a military hospital for American soldiers. He was a local politician: deputy burgomaster 1927-1931 and 1939-1940, member of the town council 1923-1940. Also chairman of the Harmonie Kur-Kapel Falcobergia [4] 1939-1969, followed by Pierre Schunck.
