Arrested in Amsterdam on September 1, 1941. He was detained in the Oranjehotel in Scheveningen until March 1942 (Source: Dodenboek Oranjehotel (Oranjehotel’s book of the dead) [5]) in Scheveningen. Then he had to appear in Maastricht before the so-called first OD trial [1] in which he was sentenced to death.
