Pierre Gulikers was a bookkeeper [1#3][7] and section commander of the BS in Santpoort-Dorp. [2]
On March 8, 1945 he was shot along with 51 others in Amsterdam, in retaliation for the (inadvertent) attack on SS commander Rauter [3].

During the 1939-1940 mobilization he was group commander of the Vrijwillige Burgerwacht in Velsen. In 1942 he joined the resistance group V-Leger. He helped people in hiding, delivered illegal writings, watched military objects in IJmuiden and collected money for the National Support Fund (NSF). This fund was an illegal organization that financed a lot of resistance work, including help to Jewish and other people in hiding and families of seafarers. [10]. In mid-1944 he entered the service of Johannes Anthonius van der Hijden, a building contractor who did a lot of work for the Germans. In mid-September 1944, he became sectiecommandant (local commander) of the Binnenlandse Strijdkrachten (Domestic Forces) in Santpoort-Dorp. This was the name of the new umbrella organization of the Resistance.
Gulikers was arrested on February 13, 1945, after an act of revenge by his employer’s former partner. First he was taken to the police department in IJmuiden. Then he was transported to the prison at the Weteringschans in Amsterdam. In retaliation for the assassination of SS commander Hanns Albin Rauter at Woeste Hoeve on March 6, 1945, he was shot along with Van der Hijden and 51 others. [6]
In IJmuiden, the Gulikersstraat is named after him.

In the summer of 1945, the remains of a total of 422 people were found in the dunes of Bloemendaal in 45 grave pits, spread over six different locations. Over 100 of them had been executed in the dunes, the others mainly in Amsterdam, but also in other places. Some were reburied in their personal surroundings, but most, 372 victims, were given their own grave in the dunes. [7]
