The fallen resistance people in Limburg
Jacob Schutte was a miner. According to vriendenkringneuengamme.nl [1] he was arrested on August 04, 1944 as a member of the LO Heerlen, was in the concentration camp Amersfoort until September 10, 1944, and was brought from there to the main camp of Neuengamme.
About his resistance history we know nothing (yet), but we know, that in the mines of Limburg many people were in hiding, sometimes with a semi-legal status. More about this in Het verborgen front (The Hidden Front). [2]
