Derk Snippe was a miner, lived in Waubach. Voluntary collaborator of De Vonk. Arrêté le 30 mars 1942. [1][2]
In his file at the OGS archives, the question whether his name was Dirk or Derk is answered on the first page by crossing out Dirk. [3#1]
The municipality of Ubach over Worms wrote the following on the back of a questionnaire about him to the OGS on February 2, 1959:The deceased D.Snippe was employed in the civil air defense service of this municipality.
The then nazi mayor Simons informed him that he had to report to the police station. He was then transported to Maastricht and after six weeks was taken to Amersfoort. On July 7, ’42, he arrived there. On October 10, 1942, he was transported to Buchenwald, as shown in letters to his wife. He died there on April 5, 1943.
These communications are from his wife,
