The fallen resistance people in Limburg

Frans Schaaks was a casual laborer (coke worker). Arrested on July 21, 1942 in Hoensbroek by Nitsch and Conrad of the SiPo in Maastricht because he was an active member of Jehovah’s Witnesses and also a member of the resistance. [1]
This is remarkable because normally Jehovah’s Witnesses do not involve themselves in politics. Nevertheless, they were severely persecuted by the National Socialists. [2]
What his resistance activities consisted of is not mentioned anywhere, so he is classified here under unorganized resistance.
Some useful details can be found at WieWasWie. [3]
After his arrest he was taken to the concentration camp in Amersfoort. From December 1, 1942, until his death on March 1, 1943, he was imprisoned in the Neuengamme main camp. [1]
Frans Jozef ( Frans ) Schaaks is listed in the Erelijst 1940-1945 (Honor Roll of the Dutch Parliament). [4]
