Lubbert Bos

 10-08-1900 Emmen      06-04-1943 KZ Buchenwald (42)
- Brunssum - Communists & Sympathizers - Underground Press -

Lubbert Bos was a miner and a member of the CPN (Communist Party Netherlands).
Cammaert wrote about him on p.1000:
In August 1941, the party leadership again sent a liaison man to the mining region, the warehouse clerk Janus Nas from Rotterdam. He moved in with the mining family of Lubbert Bos in Brunssum. They now focused almost exclusively on the distribution of De Vonk. Nas picked up the cadre newspaper personally or received it from Miss Van den Broek. [1]
By arresting and searching the home of F.E. Scheper, a distributor of De Vonk, the SiPo got on the trail of Lubbert Bos and many others. On May 30, 1942, dozens of De Vonk distributors from Schaesberg, Nieuwenhagen, Heerlen and Ubach over Worms were arrested. On June 19, it was the turn of E.J. Vinerius, J.H. Lubben, L. Bos, his son, and instructor Nas. p.1004 [1]

Arrested in Brunssum for “distributing illegal writings”.
Died in Buchenwald concentration camp, see death certificate. [2]
He is listed in the “Erelijst 1940-1945” (Honor Roll of the Dutch Parliament). [3]
